Gas meters are reported by users to the gas companies and are usually found in the kitchen. A 24 hour customer service line with instructions in Cantonese, Mandarin and English are available. You are requested to enter your account number and gas meter reading at regular intervals. If reporting is foregone, an approximation is made by the gas company based on previous bills.
